Nasal helm in the Olmutz style  Ref: H/ULF-HM-13

Please note that the measurements given in the helmet size choices are the internal circumferences. therefor when assesing the size you require you should measure whilst wearing any items you will use with the helmet e.g. an arming cap and or a maille coif. Because of the difference in the shape of the individuals skull it is suggested that a 5cm band of sheep skin can be fixed to the inside of the leather liner to give a snug fit and afford a more cusioning effect during combat. This is a 14 gauge i.e. 2mm helmet in the style of the famous Olütz-helmet found in the (Czech Republic) and dated to around 10 AD. The original is in the Kunsthistorischen Museum in Vienna. These helmets were usually accompanied by a padded or linen cap and a coif. We therefore offer the helmet in two sizes with plenty of room for both. Includes a comfortable size-adjustable Leather Inlay. The helmet is constructed from two halves of 2mm thick steel plate, and center welded. The nasal is made of 5mm thick steel strip hammered and riveted to the helmet. This very strong nasal ensures the highest protection during battle.The nasal is rounded on the bottom.
