Beautiful reconstruction of a typical, earlymedieval Kurzsaxmessers, they were popular with different Germanic tribes (not only the Saxen). This Saxe was not only used as a weapon, but also and/or even predominantly as practical day to day impliment. The Quilon consists of two steel washers, which are fixed by means of two rivets. The Pommel is of steel. This Saxmesser has a horn grasp. The Saxmesser is supplied with the brown leather sheath shown.
