This very original-faithful reconstruction of a German Sallet of around 1470 it combines both authentic representation and greatest possible security for Fighting.
Please note that the measurements given in the helmet size choices are the internal circumferences. therefor when assesing the size you require you should measure whilst wearing any items you will use with the helmet e.g. an arming cap and or a maille coif. Because of the difference in the shape of the individuals skull it is suggested that a 5cm band of sheep skin can be fixed to the inside of the leather liner to give a snug fit and afford a more cusioning effect during combat.

Italian Bascinet, Barbute helmet, circa 1470, battle-ready,
The barbute helmet is the Italian variation of the late-medieval bascinet helmet.
It's construction is close to ancient helmets (e.g. Corinthian helmets) and may have been
influenced by the renewed interest in ancient history and arts, the renaissance.
This reconstruction by ULFBERTH® is developed after an original Italian Bascinet
dated around 1470 which is now housed in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum
in Nuremberg, Germany.
Delivery includes a very comfortable, high-quality, adjustable padded liner and
a riveted leather chin strap and brass buckle.
This is an original ULFBERTH® product.
